Before you trust any VPN
- Jurisdiction ≠ servers. "Based in Panama" describes where the company is registered, not where its servers are. What matters is which government's courts can compel the company.
- "No logs" is a claim, not a fact — until it's tested by an independent audit, a court case, or a server seizure. We note audits where they exist.
- 5/9/14 Eyes are intelligence-sharing alliances. A VPN in a member country can be legally compelled to surveil and share. Outside the alliances ≠ safe, but it's one fewer pressure point.
- Prices and policies change. Verify on the provider's site before paying. This page is informational, not an endorsement.
